My dad guest blogs… Having completed the first week of my son Daniel’s life, it is the perfect time to reflect on a few nuggets of wisdom I wish I had known seven days ago before I experienced the hospital gig. Now most birthing mothers do a very good job of packing a hospital bag and doing some pre-planning for their hospital stay. Together this parenting team takes parenting very serious with calculated focus to make us kids (and me) healthy, wealthy and wise. As the third child of parents in their 40s with this background, more of my destiny has been thought out than perhaps the typical easy going, “get away with murder last child syndrome.”
So that said my second full day on earth should be no surprise… My parents put me on a 3 hour schedule today consisting of burping, feeding, play time,sleeping, calculated and thought out like the well oiled parent units they are. After checking their schedules, reviewing their notes, Daddy left Mommy alone tonight while he gather my brother and sister from our good friends the Lavins. I have no doubt that he will start the school routine and have them in bed by 8p.
As for Mommy and me, we are growing, resting and having fun as I start this new “Campos Family” adventure!
