Turning 40, Time for a Planning Session

Well friends, it’s been a month since my last post and I am happy to report I am a father to a bouncing baby boy–Daniel Theodore Campos. Having already celebrated my 40th birthday publicly, I want to tell you how I will be ringing in the first day of my 40th year privately.
It’s time for a 10 year planning session and goals. Success is not something accomplished in a vacuum and I have friends, mentors and even a corporate coach, Howard Sambol, to help. I will be using his career crafting exercises during my planning sessions this weekend.

10/22/04: The Quiet Calm of Night

My life is like yours. Too busy. Too much noise, too much stuff. It is the middle of the night. The kids are asleep, as is my spouse. I’ve had the wonderful pleasure of spending a few hours of just quietly reading. I hear the clock ticking in the background. That clock has been on the wall for eight years–I’ve never heard it tick before. I so miss the silence.
