Caitlyn Campos with her Daddy at the Harwood Jr. High Award Ceremony

Hey guys, sorry that’s it been awhile. I have been busy with my soccer packed, music performing, end-of-year testing, crazy schedule. I’m on my school’s Soccer B team. Last Friday was my awards ceremony, and boy was I in for big surprises!

The night before the Friday, May 17th 2013 Award Ceremony, I was trying on and looking to find a special dress to wear from my closet. My mom (step-mom Karen) and I went out to Ross to find the perfect dress for me to wear. We left Ross with two dresses and a cute white sweater to wear with the dresses. One was black with ruffles and white polka dots. The second was navy blue with a red belt and white skirt. I kind of look like a sailor in that dress. I picked the black with the white polka dots and I was ready for my awards.

That morning during first period, which is band for me, we got dismissed to the cafeteria. We were the first ones there. I got my first award in U.S. History, then I was the only one to get the Spanish Immersion award. I got an award for being a part of Math Club, and got the Lion’s Club award again this year. I had NO idea I would be getting ANY awards. I felt bad afterwards because I was the only one in my Spanish class to get awards, but I know also that I have worked hard for those awards.

Later that day, after playing a fantastic part in soccer game tournament, I left to go put on yet another dress for my induction into the “National Junior Honor’s Society.” It was quite a beautiful ceremony. Then I went to my mom’s (it was her weekend). So after all that hard work, I went to bed with five awards. I feel pretty special and tired cause after that completely packed long day. Talk to ya’ll later.

Love, Bestie

Have you ever gotten a school award? What were your awards in? What’s your favorite place to shop for a dress?
